For those that didn't get a chance to attend in person, here's the url to the FB Live video of this year's Mercy Connections annual benefit luncheon.
I feel incredibly honored to have been invited to speak on behalf of their Women's Small Business programs, and to my experiences.
The staff and volunteers of Mercy Connections, their participants, and benefactors, are part of a network - a greater community - supporting each other in transformation.
My segment begins at approximately 1:06:00 (time stamp) in the video and I invite you to wade into my story.
The luncheon, as is typical, was sold out at 500 seats. It was by no means easy for me to speak. On a good day, I find public speaking incredibly stressful. In the days leading up to the event, and during it, I was crashing into, and extricating myself out of flashbacks.
I've had a lot of practice identifying and recovering from flashbacks the past few years. Fortunately, on the day of the event, I did not experience the deeply disturbing somatic symptoms that are my most challenging and lingering type.
Be well. Be healthy. Be compassionate. Love yourself.
