It was a spectacular day, for a brief period between freezing rain and mist.
Anonymous 01's portraits are looking fresh, dynamic, and confident.

Digging in the dirt and finding life-giving crimson. I finished the under-paintings for participant #3, Jen, today.
I had the energy to begin the under-painting for 3:30 Project participant, Anonymous 01, today. I anticipate many layers ahead, and a lot of radiant and cool white, greens, greys, and liquid blues to bring out this participant's joie de vivre!
The under-paintings for participant one were far too wet to continue today. Oil paint and a cool studio will require my patience.
It was a chilly start in the studio today. The old Jotul wood stove and my favorite studio chair offered a few breaks for tea and toe warming.
I completed the under-paintings for Robin Taft's 3:30 portraits. I'll need at least a day of drying before I can continue.
Hmmm, do I start with Robin's portraits tomorrow, or with the second 3:30 participant?
For the past 2 years, the 3:30 Project has been swirling around in my heart and head. It's ready to emerge - with your help. Yes, at last! It's time to bring your artworks to life. My painting supplies ready for the first group of 3:30 Project family members.
The next part is up to you. You decide who gets the first series of portraits. Last week, I emailed some Guidelines and Instructions to participants along with a series of Prompts and Questions. Your responses will provide me with the insight needed to create your portraits. If you didn't receive the email, and you believe you already sent an RSVP on The 3:30 Project page, let me know.
The first 3:30 Project family member to respond is Robin Taft. Thanks for your quick and thoughtful response, Robin!
Remember - your privacy is important to me. Robin gave me permission to use her real name as I create and share her artwork. You can choose to be completely anonymous, use a nickname or 'secret code name', or your real name. It's entirely up to you.
